Mosquito is specifically
designed to disperse groups of youths from areas where
they are not wanted.
Mosquito generates a near ultrasonic tone close to the limit of hearing
of people
under 25 years of age. The result is that most under 20's leave the
immediate
area, while the majority of those over the age of 30 are unaware of
the tone.
The system is designed to be used for up to 20 minutes and each unit
is fitted
with a cut-off to avoid unnecessary annoyance. Mosquito complies with
guidelines
(HSE 2005) and is widely used by Police and Local Authorities.
